Meats
Often, this group of foods is looked down upon due to their fat content. However, they are healthier than their high carbohydrate content foods. However, general acknowledgement is that grass-fed meat groups are healthier than grain fed options. Also, please note that all protein has SOME carbohydrates although very little. Any carbohydrates will eventually become glucose in our bodies.
- Beef
Beef is a standard part of different meals. It has zero carbohydrates and is mostly composed of various fat-soluble vitamins and minerals such as iron and zinc. The choice of beef ranges from steak to ground beef. This meat source is very versatile.
- Lamb

- Chicken

Pork is one of the most irresistible meat sources with bacon being the most consumed pork- based meat globally. This delicacy is perfect for high fat diets and contains zero carbohydrates. However, when buying pork products, it is essential to read the label and ensure that the components added do not include extra carbohydrates.
- Salmon
Salmon is king among seafood. With its unique taste and well balanced fat content, salmon offers zero carbohydrates. Salmon also contains high amounts of iodine and Vitamin B12, Vitamin D and Omega-3.
